Vase

A tall square vase for a few stems or a single branch, heavy enough to stand steady under them. Its outer faces follow the Relief grid: one square, repeated, each joint holding a thin line of shadow, while the surfaces where things rest stay smooth. Cast by hand in a silicone mould from white cement, marble sand and pigment, the concrete is coloured through its whole mass. Fine pores and pale flecks remain in the surface, different on every piece.
